I found these delicate lilies in the median of the highway. I continue to be amazed by the beautiful wildflowers in Alabama. I hope you're finding some spring beauties in your area too.

Matt and I stopped by an old, abandoned house yesterday to take pictures of the wisteria. As we left, I noticed these old boots sitting on the steps. I stopped back by on my way to work this morning so I could share them with you. I'm sure there's a story behind them. I imagined a man pulling them off before going inside after a hard day's work. But why didn't he put them back on? Did he win the lottery and quit his job? Did he die in his sleep? Maybe he just retired and refused to put them on again.

No baseball today because the prom was last night, so I covered some of the Tombigbee Softball Tournament. Leroy beat Jackson in one of the early rounds.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
This handsome gentleman made my day by personally handing me a lucky carnation at the St. Patrick's Day Parade. The older I get, the more I love old men ... especially those who look like Santa Claus

I have a couple of friends who coach a softball team in Mobile. They asked if I would come to one of their games to take some pictures for the girls. Of couse I said yes, even though I'm not very good at softball photography. You would think I would be given the fact that I shoot baseball all the time. But I struggle to get any good shots. It's not that I dislike softball, but I do get irritated having to shoot through a chain-link fence and I get bored with the slowness of the game and the fact that they all hit like girls. :D But "practice makes perfect," right? Atleast that's what I keep telling myself.
