"This Flag Dips to No Earthly King."
Happy Independence Day everyone! I hope you were able to celebrate the greatness of our country surrounded by family and friends. I love America. I learned of her greatness from my father--a true patriot who taught me and my siblings about freedom and sacrifice and loyalty. My heart still swells with pride whenever the National Anthem is played. I always tear up on the words, "... O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!" I love our flag and what it represents. It is a symbol of freedom that men and women have fought and died to defend. It is proud. It should never be flown tattered and torn and should never touch the ground. It bothers me to see a shredded flag flying and I have stopped MANY times to asked the owner if I can remove it and properly retire it. I've never been told no. Never forget what this flag represents. Never forget the lives sacrificed to allow us freedom that is only dreamed of in other countries. God Bless America.
