I thought the migration had peaked, but we were overwhelmed by another swarm today. Thankfully, Dave comes home for lunch and was able to refill the feeders. The Hummingbird Society says that one ounce will feed five hummingbirds. We're using over 130 ounces each day, so I'd say we're feeding about 650 hummingbirds a day. That's a lot!
It's very hard to show you the number of hummingbirds in our yard in the morning. They fly off when loud cars drive by or when they hear the shutter of the camera. They're really like gnats. You notice the numbers when you walk outside and see them scatter to the trees and the bushes. I wish I could show you. I'll try to get a video up tomorrow.
