Another Hot, Dry Day

When I got in my car this afternoon, the thermometer said 109 degrees and it didn't dip below 101 degrees until I had traveled 40 miles! It's hot, hot, hot. The corn is beginning to wilt and I noticed that one of the farmers plowed under the peanuts he had planted and is preparing to plant cotton. I guess it's been too dry for peanuts this year. No rain in the forecast, though.
