As we were driving to Mobile this morning, I was telling Dave that I've exhausted my subjects to photograph--all the wildflowers have faded and the heat of summer is setting in--then there, along the road, stood a doe grazing on some of the greener grass. As always, patient Dave turned around and let me try to get a picture of her. I only had my short (50mm) lens, so we had to get as close as possible. When the shutter started firing, her ears perked up and she bounded into the trees.
