... with warm sunshine throughout the day. I think it got into the low 70s today. It was an "open up the sunroof and let the sun shine in" kind of day.
Morning dew.
A few fleeting glaces of the changing leaves before they finally fall.

Today was Iron Bowl Saturday, the day when our in-state rivals, Alabama and Auburn, play the biggest game of the year. In years past, during halftime, I would drag Matt out around our community to take a picture for our Christmas cards. For many years now, he has refused to participate, so I simply look forward to the game. I also began fall cleaning, dusting fans, blinds and baseboards, washing, ironing, and hanging curtains, cleaning Matt's room, and putting up the Christmas tree. I realized almost too late that I had not taken a photo, so I rushed down the street at the last minute in my pajama pants and slippers to find leaves. Oh well, that's life.
We just hit the peak of our southern autumn. Because of my work hours, I don't always get to see the glorious colors reflected through the sunlight. But yesterday I had an appointment that made my drive time a little later. I was able to soak up the sun-drenched reds, oranges, yellows, and greens along the road. That put a smile on my face. You can't always capture God's perfect beauty through a lens--at least I can't. You just have to commit it to memory. With the sun fading this afternoon, I searched for some bit of sunlight and found it streaming through a sycamore tree at a local school. I love the light here. Again, it made me smile.
I'm having to get a little creative here. It was overcast this morning and everything was blah! so I had to layer several photos together and then add some vibrance. Whew! It looks simple, but much better than the original photo.
And we're finally seeing a lot more autumn colors. I think we'll hit the height of color in about 10 days. Once those colors fade, another wave will come in toward the end of December but a little less vibrant. Love our Southern fall.
