"Mockingbird, now everybody have you heard ..."

We have a pair of mockingbirds nesting in our azalea bush and they are frustrating to say the least. Our poor dogs and cats especially are bombarded and squawked at all day long. There's simply no peace and quiet for anyone.
Most if not all of the migratory birds have moved on, but the mockingbirds are settling in. They seem especially active, singing and screaming at their rivals. This time of year always reminds me of the movie "Failure to Lauch," when the roommate is driven to take aim at a mockingbird singing outside her window.
