More rain, more mushrooms.
We're into our typical South Alabama weather--hot and humid during the day and rainy in the afternoon. Great for mushroom growing. Although, I'm wondering how these mushrooms survive the heat, maybe they grow through humidity.

Great mushroom find today. I noticed these beauties under a picnic table last night. I wondered if they would still be there today. And they were, sitting in dry dirt in the hot mid-day sun. They're tough, rock solid. There is nothing delicate about them. I'm feeling a bit like a tough mushroom today. Strong and resilient. :)
I saw this village of mushrooms on my way to work and had to get a few shots. When I returned home, Dave said he was going to mow them down, so I took a few more shots. I love the way they "bloomed."
Hopefully I'll find something more photogenic tomorrow.
I love finding mushrooms. I'm not very good at photographing them, but love getting close enough to get a good look. They're just neat. Another blogger that I follow is Machel Spence a/k/a Mushroom Queen. She is incredibly gifted in mushroom photography. Go over and take a look at her work. Perhaps you'll fall in love with mushrooms too.

I'm rarely sick, but every once in a while I catch a cold or have to battle allergies. Today was one of those days. Allergies have kicked me to the curb, draining me of all energy. I didn't want to pick up a camera and went to work without one. Not wanting to go out looking for something to photograph, I was thankful a mushroom village had sprouted in my backyard when I returned home.
