Due to a lack of planning on my part, I have nothing special (again) to show you. When I left work, the sun was out and I figured I'd find something good, but when I got closer to home, I found myself being soaked in a thunderstorm. Goodness knows we needed the rain, so I'm not complaining. It didn't deter us from grabbing some Mexican for supper, but it did put a damper on my photographic plans.
Just a note about my mockingbird babies. I worried and worried about the little ones while the wind was whipping around the house and the rain was pouring because I never saw the mother on the nest. When we got home from Casa Grande, I checked the nest and found no babies. Dave said he found one dead in the yard yesterday, which makes me sad. The Internet says that they're only in the nest for 12 days, but I don't think they were that old. Either they escaped from the yard and are being tended to by their parents or the cats and dogs got them. I'm hoping for the best.
