I stopped by the area where the Red Tickseed Coreopsis was blooming. Again, men and machines were trampling the area. I'm thinking about digging up some of the down-trodden ones and carrying them to my yard. Then again, it might be illegal. I don't need to get in trouble with the law.
I'd like to say these red tickseed coreopsis are abundant, but I only know of one small plant in South Alabama and this year there are only two or three flowers on it. But aren't they lovely?

Dave and I then headed to Mobile and, of course, I had to stop by to get a few more pictures of the Red Tickseed ... because they make me happy (and this is the only one I've ever come across).
I found some Red Tickseed Coreopsis mixed in among the Golden Tickseed Coreopsis today. I'd never seed it bloom before. Lucky me.
