Matt had surgery on his shoulder today. The nurse marked the correct shoulder by writing "yes" and then Dr. Haas had to initial it. I still find that funny, even considering I work for lawyers.
My Hospital Quilt
Dave had his second wrist surgery today, so I took something to work on in the waiting room. This is my hospital quilt--actually a cathedral quilt that I've been working on for a number of years. I'm so busy, I only pull it out when I'm in a hospital waiting room. When I started, I figured I would finish by the time Matt graduated from high school ... no, that didn't happen. I'm thinking maybe I'll have it ready by the time he marries ... or maybe when my grandchildren marry. Since I only work on it when I'm at the hospital, perhaps it's a good thing that I'm not yet finished.
Dave had surgery on his wrist today. He tore the ligaments 6-1/2 weeks ago when he lifted a giant-sized box of Gain laundry detergent and put it in his truck. He's doing well. Do you think they knew which wrist to operate on? With the help of a black ink pen ... yes.
