I saw this on our drive to Mobile. It was a dogwood growing out of a cedar. Being Good Friday, I tend to think on Christ and how he is identified with these two trees. In the Middle East, the Cedars of Lebanon are representative of Christ. In America, the dogwood is representative of the sacrifice of Christ. The dogwood has a legend that says that the print of each nail is shown on the tip of each petal and the center of the flower is representative of the crown of thorns. Such a perfect find for this Good Friday.
And the trees are turning green. I love green.
The Internet is great. I like reading poetry, but could never write a poem. When I caught this image, I thought "whisper of spring," so I Googled it and found the poem.

Whispers of spring, a gentle tease

Soft of breath upon a breeze

of kisses light as air

A pastel veil, a silky blush

Of petals smooth, a velvet brush

Painted in colors fair

And all aglow when the sun beams

A weave of light through cloudless dreams

In flecks of sun and shade

Where tiny buds that will unfold

Kindly caressed with warming gold

Will bloom in a parade

Of gorgeous pink and soothing light

As scents so sweet are soft in flight

When fragrance gently flings

Through crystal skies, a tender plume

Of flower buds in light perfume

Soft are whispers of spring
