Just as we thought we were making our way through the weeds, Matt called and said he and the nine guys he hired with got laid off. Wow. You know the saying, "Last hired, first fired." Things slowed down and they didn't have enough work. When I told him I understood, I did. He loved his job and was really good at it. It was a huge blow, especially since he was getting ready to move to a new apartment away from his complex where the Auburn shootings had recently happened. Suddenly his plans were upset and again he would be reliant on us. He's surrounded by good Christian friends and I know he'll bounce back. I reminded him of how blessed he has been during the last six months, the people he has met, the experiences he has had, and how God has been constantly watching over him. He is not alone. Again, our entire family is coveting your prayers.
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)
