I'd like to say these red tickseed coreopsis are abundant, but I only know of one small plant in South Alabama and this year there are only two or three flowers on it.  But aren't they lovely?

This little black-eyed susan is newly opened -- "soft as a baby's bottom."
The mowers are on the move and I'm scrambling to find all the wildflowers before they're plowed under.  (They already mowed down the beautiful painted black-eyed susans from last Monday's post.)

Golden Tickseed Coreopsis
Aren't these wild roses just beautiful.  I'd never seen this bush, but found it just across the road from the ones I showed you yesterday.
And then I found this second bush.  The roses were just a little lighter in color.
