I've been jealous of all the autumn foliage my blogger friends have been sharing. So today I was determined to find some color myself. I noticed on Wednesday that one of the trees in my backyard was changing, but when I looked today, the leaves had already fallen. I noticed another tree waaaaay out in the field behind my house and trudged out there to look, but they were way too high to get any good pictures. All I have to share is a solitary leaf that had already fallen to the ground. But don't worry, when you're covered up with snow, I'll have some colorful leaves. :D
My husband has built model airplanes since he was a kid. At the the last minute, we decided to go to a model show at Battleship Park. I dropped Dave off and then went on my own expedition of shooting Monarch butterflies, brown pelicans, and seagulls along the Causeway. He found some good deals and was happy with that he found. We both had a good time pursuing our hobbies.
Hummingbird in the rain. TS Lee finished it's ride over our area, dumping a lot of rain, wind, and cooler temperatures. I thought the number of hummingbirds would decline, but there were more here than ever. I'm guessing we had about 40+ in our yard. They emptied one feeder by mid-day. They'd swarm the porch and then a wind would blow them away. They were feisty, though, and very determined. I hope everyone had a nice Labor Day.
