Sometimes you just stumble upon a picture worth keeping. I've been trying to leave the house a little earlier to catch the morning light, but I haven't done a very good job. By the time I got to this spot this morning the orange sunrise had become white. The colors weren't nearly as vibrant as shown here, but I changed the white balance to shade, kicked up the saturation, and added a Kim Klassen texture and, Voila! I now have a photo I wouldn't mind framing.
Red-Headed Meadow Katydid I stopped by my favorite meadow today and found the field was singing! You could hear all the insects. They were everywhere. I love this time of year. The false foxglove and sunflowers are getting ready to bloom too. I'm so excited.
