    Dog-gone-it!

It was raining hard when I left for work this morning. Since I had a casserole and two pies to carry for our Christmas party, I decided to leave my camera at home. That was a big mistake. When I returned home, there was a low hanging fog in all the fields. When the sun dropped below the clouds, the sky lit up in the most glorious colors. The clouds became a pink blood red with golden yellow pulsing throughout. It was awesomely beautiful, but I had no camera in hand--with the exception of my cell phone, which doesn't do it justice. It doesn't show the real beauty God created this evening. So, thank you, God, for revealing your beauty to me, and dog-gone-it for me not capturing it to share with others.

Today was Iron Bowl Saturday, the day when our in-state rivals, Alabama and Auburn, play the biggest game of the year. In years past, during halftime, I would drag Matt out around our community to take a picture for our Christmas cards. For many years now, he has refused to participate, so I simply look forward to the game. I also began fall cleaning, dusting fans, blinds and baseboards, washing, ironing, and hanging curtains, cleaning Matt's room, and putting up the Christmas tree. I realized almost too late that I had not taken a photo, so I rushed down the street at the last minute in my pajama pants and slippers to find leaves. Oh well, that's life.
