The water of Mobile Bay was calm with little wave or wildlife activity. Every now and then a mullet would break the water's surface with the splash echoing up and down the beach, but that was it. The trouble with sunsets is they don't last forever. A perfect moment is gone in mere seconds.
It was dark once again when I left work, so I snapped this look down Dauphin Street between Conception and Joachim. It reminds me of a photo that hangs in our office that was taken by Eric Overbey ca. 1940 of the same location.
